1. About this issue of the IUGG Electronic Journal

This April issue of the IUGG E-Journal follows 3 weeks from the 23 March issue. The May issue will appear on 11 May. These unusual issue dates are necessary to accommodate the events leading up the General Assembly.

The Scientific Programme Committee had a successful meeting in Perugia March 26-27. The messages regarding travel assistance will be sent within the next week so that all registration and accommodation requests can be made by 30 April.
