The International Telecommunication Union, Radiocommunication Bureau, has invited IUGG/IAG to participate in the work of a Special Rapporteur Group to discuss the definition and use of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) for radiocommunication and telecommunications purposes. Dr. Daniel Gambis has kindly agreed to serve on this Study Group.

IUGG is grateful to the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) and these scientists for their dedication to these important tasks.
