On behalf of the Joint Australian and New Zealand Organising Committee, I would like to thank everyone who made the XXVth International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics General Assembly such a great success.  Thank you to all those people who contributed to the organisation and promotion of the event, the sponsors, speakers and registrants.

A General Assembly of approximately 3,500 participants from over 91 countries was something very special and we hope it will have an enduring legacy.  The scientific program comprised of 4758 presentations including 2831 oral and 1926 poster presentations from leading scientists from around the globe.
